About the Job
The Community Activation Team is looking for competitive, high-energy coaches to take the field across Los Angeles.
As a member of the Community Activation Team, you’ll be running youth football camps at elementary and middle schools throughout the South Bay and South LA — putting students through reps, teaching the game, and representing the organization on the ground where it matters most. If you’ve played the game, love to coach it, and want to be part of an organization building something real in the community, this role is for you.
The Community Activation team role is a part-time role with the Community staff responsible for executing approximately 75 activations across the 2026–27 school year. You’ll report directly to Community staff and serve as a front-line representative at every event.
Job Responsibilities
- Execute youth football camps, tournaments, and community events across Los Angeles County.
- Own the full operation of each assigned activation: equipment load-in, event setup, drill station execution, and post-event breakdown.
- Create a sideline-worthy atmosphere at every activation: loud, competitive, and energetic.
- Coach the fundamentals of football including routes, blocking schemes, defensive concepts, rules, and positional responsibilities, adjusted to the age and skill level of each group.
- Keep students safe on the field at all times. Identify injuries or medical situations quickly and respond according to established protocols.
- Load, unload, inventory, and maintain the equipment truck and storage area between activations.
- Travel to school campuses and community venues across Los Angeles and greater Southern California for all assigned activations.
- Represent the organization with the professionalism and standard expected of a professional sports organization.
- Opportunity to work cross-functionally across various company events.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Available on weekdays during school hours and select evenings, weekends, and holidays throughout the year.
- Demonstrated knowledge of football, including a strong understanding of rules, positions, offensive and defensive schemes, and fundamental skills at the youth or varsity level.
- Proven experience coaching, training, or supporting youth athletes within a structured or organized program.
- Strong group management skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and maintain high energy levels among youth participants throughout sessions and events.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow coaches, school personnel, and Football Development leadership to ensure a unified and professional program environment.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 25 pounds and remaining on your feet for extended periods during full-day events and activities.
- Ability to perform job duties outdoors under varying weather and environmental conditions.
- Access to reliable transportation and possession of a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous playing or coaching experience in tackle or flag football at the high school level or higher.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification.
- Familiarity with Southern California communities and neighborhoods where programs will be conducted.
